Nice zinc Luftwaffe Flieger related tag in used condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 7.Kompanie II.Abteilung Flieger Regiment 32. This regiment was formed in April 1939 in Uetersen as Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 32. In November 1939 the regiment moved to Pardubitz, Czech. In 1941 it was moved to Rochefort, Belgium and later (1944) the II.Abteilung was stationd in the French city of Angouleme, near bordeaux. In August 1942 the regiment was renamed into Flieger Regiment 32.
The commanding officer of the II.Abteilung was Officer Greif. The II.Abteilung fought against the Americans and where pushed back all the way to Metz where they where finally disbanned and the remnants of the soldiers where absorbed by the Fallschirmjäger and Heer.
The dog tag is broken, but complete and solid.
