Very nice aluminium Luftwaffe Festung Flak related tag in used, but excellent condition.

The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 7.batterie Reserve Festungs Flak Abteilung 343. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Neustadt where it also operated. It was a large abteilung with 10! batteries.
In July 1941 it was disbanned and the 7.batterie was used to form the 1.batterie schwere Flak Abteilung 397. From 1941 till the autumn of 1943 it was stationed in the Frankfurt area. Then it was transported to Saloniki, Greece. In the last stages of the war it operated in Croatia.
