Very nice zinc Artillerie Regiment 384 related dog tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 7.Batterie (leichte Feldhaubitze) Artillerie Regiment 384. The regiment was formed in January 1942 and was part of the 384.Infanterie-Division. It fought in a lot of different areas in Russia such as Charkow, Isjum, Donez, Donbogen and Stalingrad were the division and her units were destroyed in January 1943.
A new unit was reformed in France in March 1943 but this time Artillerie Abteilung 384. It was again send to the east.
The interesting and uncommon thing about this tag is that howister 'Feldhaubitze' is stamped on it.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
