Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 4.Kompanie Kraftfahr Ersatz Abteilung 1.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The abteilung was formed in August 1939. For a period of time it stayed in Germany and was stationed in different cities. Under the Division Nr.141 and Nr.151. From September 1942 it became part of the Division 461 and was stationed in Bialystok, Poland. In Januari 1945 the abteilung was destroyed and disbanned. According to the DRK data 252 soldiers where missing. The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the bloodtype. On the back its stamped with 'DEUTSCHES REICHSHEER'.
