The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '4.Batterie Schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 25'. This abteilung was formed in December 1940 as Flak Ersatz Abteilung 25 in Mährisch-Ostrau with 4 batteries and a Kraftfahr Ersatz Batterie. The abteilung was converted in to Schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 25 in late 1941, early 1942.
It was stationed the entire war in Mährisch-Ostrau, the first year under Luftgau-Kommando XVII and the rest of the war under Stab/Flak Ersatz Regiment 6.
