Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 4.Batterie I.Abteilung Schwere Flak Regiment 64 erkennungsmarke.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The I.Abteilung of Regiment 64 was formed in the summer of 1937 in Dusseldorf with 5 batteries. In May 1940 it was put into action in Raum Calais (France). In June it was in Abbeville and in August in Calais. In April 1941 it was part of the XXX.Armeekorps and moved to the Balkans. In June of that year it participated in Operation Barbarossa under the 11.Armee. It also saw combat in the Krim and Kretsch and in September 1942 in Raum Leningrad. In 1943 it was stationed in Gomel.
In 1945 the Abteilung was stationed in Ostpreussen.
