Very nice aluminium Infanterie Regiment 28 related tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was draften in the 4.M.G. Ersatz Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 28. This regiment was formed in October 1935 and was part of the 8.Infanterie-Division. With this division the regiment saw action during the invasion of Poland and later, in May 1940, in France.
The back of the tag is nicely marked with 'Blutg.A' which stands for Blutgruppe A.
