The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. The tag belonged to a soldier who served in the 4.Kompanie Straßen Baubataillon 625. This bataillon was formed in late August 1939 and operated in Poland during the invasion that took place in September 1939 and then in the West as part of the 1.Armee. In September 1940 the bataillon was disbanned.
Nice tag of a unit that is not so often seen.
