The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted within the 4.Kompanie Sanitäts Ersatz Abteilung 11. This unit was formed in October 1939 in Bückeburg. It trained and supplied soldiers for different unit.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
