Very nice Wehrmacht Landessschützen related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 4.Kompanie Landesschützen Bataillon B. This bataillon was formed in late May 1940 and was part of the 526.Infanterie-Division. It operated in the area of Malmedy (Belgium).
In Early 1944 the bataillon became part of the 89.Infanterie-Division and was put into action in area of Aachen, Germany.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
