Nice field made Kradschützen related tag in worn condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It's a well preserved ground find. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 4.Kompanie Kradschützen Ersatz Bataillon 1. The bataillon was formed in late November 1940 in Meiningen and fell under Divsion 176. The bataillon trained and supplied soldiers for Kradschützen Bataillon 1. This bataillon was part of the 1.Panzer-Division.
The tag is a so-called selbstfertigung or field made example. Probably because he lost his original one.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
