Very nice Luftwaffe Flak related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 4.batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 252. This abteilung was formed in late August 1939 in Ludwigsburg and consistd out of 5 batteries (1-3 Schwere, 4-5 Leichte).
In first served in the area of Stuttgart, but from October 1941 on it was stationed in Oostende, the coast of Belgium. In July 1942 the abteilung was renamed into gemischte Flak Abteilung 252.
The abteilung was enlarged with a 6th battery by using the 4th battery of the unit. Straight after a new 4th battery was reformed. The abteilung stayed in Oostende till December 1944 and was then redesignated. The batteries where used to form different batteries of Flak Regiment 55.
