Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 3.Batterie Flak Abteilung 264 erkennungsmarke.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in a 3.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 264'. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Oldenburg with 5 batteries (1-3 Schwere, 4-5 Leichte). In July 1942 it became known as Schwere Flak Abteilung 264. In July 1943 the 3rd and 4.Batterie where stationed on Sicily. In March the abteilung was stationed in Verona and for the rest of the war it stayed in Italy.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
