Nice aluinium 3.batterie Leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 176 dog tag in used, but very good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in 3.batterie leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 176. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Potsdam. It trained and delivered soldiers for Stellungs-Artillerie-Abteilung 802, Artillerie-Abteilungen 754 and Artillerie Regiment 176 and 333.
The 3.batterie was used in Mai 1941 to form leichte Artillerie Abteilung 663 which was part of the 719.Infanterie-Division. This new division was formed in Dordrecht, the Netherlands and stayed most of its exsistance in Holland.
The 'B' on both parts of thetag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
