Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 3.Batterie I.Abteilung Flak Regiment 141.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The Regiment was formed in the summer of 1938 in Lüdenscheid with 5 batteries. In August 1940 the regiment was stationed in Maastricht (Holland). In Februari 1941 it moved to Calais (France). It was also stationed in Lille, Dieppe, Hazebrouck and in March 1943 in St. Nazaire. In June 1944 it saw heavy combat during the Normandy Campaign in the Falaise Pocket. In December 1944 it was stationed in the Eifel area and fought during the battle of the Ardennes. It was destroyed in April 1945 in the Ruhrkessel.
