This regiment was formed in August 1939 in Amberg. The unit trained and supplied soldiers for Heeres-Küstenartillerie-Abteilung 823(motorisiert) and Artillerie Regiments 173, 271, z.b.V.1016. On the back 'BLUTGR.A' is stamped in which stands for the (Blutgruppe) bloodtype of the soldier.
