Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 3.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 11 erkennungsmarke.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '3.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 11'. This abteilung was formed in the summer of 1939 in Königsberg with 4 batteries. In 1941 it moved to Stettin-Altdamm for almost a year and moved back to Königsberg in August 1941 where it stayed the entire war. The abteilung was converted in to Schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 11 in late 1941, early 1942.
The tag is stamped on both sides which is common with this unit.
