The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. The tag belonged to a soldier who served in the 3.Kompanie Straßen Baubataillon 676. This bataillon was probably formed in late August 1939. In July 1943 the bataillon was attached to Armeeabteilung Kempf which, in that period, participated in the Battle of Kursk.
Nice tag of a unit that is not so often seen.
