Nice Wehrmacht Landeschützen related tag in used condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 3.Kompanie Landesschützen Bataillon 735. This bataillon was formed in April 1940. Is was moved to Brussel in the summer of 1940 and fell under the command of the Militärbefehlshaber Belgien-Nordfrankreich.
In May 1944 the bataillon became Sicherungs Bataillon 735 and still operated in Belgium untill it was disbanned at the end of 1944.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
