The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 3.batterie Flak Regiment 25. The I.Abteilung (1.-5.batterie) of this regiment was formed in April 1935. In December 1940 it moved to Rumania and during the invasion of Russia that took place in June 1941 it was part of the 5.Panzer-Armee. It operated in areas like Rostov, Kiev and in the summer of 1944 in Jassy. From October 1944 until Februay 1945 it operated in Hungary.
