The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the '3.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 12'. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Berlin with 4 batteries. In 1941/1942 it was converted in to a schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 12. It was stationed the entire war in Berlin.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
