The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 26.Kompanie Landesschützen Bataillon VII/XIII. This bataillon was formed in late August 1939 in Schwabach. In March 1940 it was stationed in Nürnberg and a month later it was renamed into Landesschützen Bataillon 807. It operated the entire war in the Nürnberg area.
