The document shows normal signs of wear. The KvKII was awarded on 1 September 1944 to Rolf who served in unit that fell under te command of the 232.Infanterie-Division. This division was formed in June 1944 and fought from August untill Januari 1945 in Italy in ares like Genua, Apennin and Po. It was captured by the Americans.
The document is signed by Generalleutnant Eccard Freiherr von Gablenz, wearer of the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuz.
