Very nice zinc 2.Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 36 dog tag in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 36 was formed in the summer of 1939 in Friedberg/Hessen. It was part of the Division 156 and it trained andsupplied soldiers for Infanterie Regiment 36. This regiment was part of the 9.Infanterie-Division and saw it's first combat during the invasion of Belgium and then France.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
