Very nice aluminium 2.Batterie Ersatz Artillerie Abteilung 75 dog tag in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in 2.Batterie Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 75. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 as a Leichte Artillerie Motorisiert unit. The abteilung trained and supplied soldiers to different Artillerie Abteilungen, Artillerie Regiments and Panzer Artillerie Regiments. In March 1945 the unit was mobilized and equipped with the Le.F.H.18/40. It fought against the Russians. The 'B' on the back stands for the bloodtype of the soldier.
