Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 2.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 24.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The Abteilung was formed in the summer of 1939 in Iserlohn with 5 batteries. The unit participated in the invasion of Denmark in April and May 1940. After the invasion it moved to Rendsburg. In late 1941/beginning of 1942 the unit was reformed to Flakscheinwerfer-Ersatz-Abteilung 24.
