Very nice zinc Luftwaffe Flugzeugführerschule related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 2.Offizier bewerbung Lehrgang Flugzeugführerschule A61. A Flugzeugführerschule was a pilot training school and in this case for officers. This schule was formed in August 1937 in Oschatz as Flugzeugführerschule Oschatz. In April 1939 the schule was renamed into Schule/Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 61 and became Flugzeugführerschule A61 in October 1943. The schule was disbanned in March 1945.
The schule used a lot of different aircrafts such as the Ar66, Fw44, He70 and He72.
The '43/1' probably stands for the year 1943 (1st course).
Hard to find tag.
