Very nice aluminium Wehrmacht Landesschützen related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 2.Kompanie Landesschützen Bataillon 735. This unit was formed in April 1940 and was orginased as an occupation force for the west. Soon after it was formed it moved to Brussel, Belgium. In Mai 1944 the regiment was renamed in Sicherungs Regiment 735. Is was disbanned at the end of 1944 whilst still being in Belgium.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
