The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the 2.batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 234. This abteilung was formed in Dresden in late August 1939. In 1943 the abteilung became a heavy unit, schwere Flak Abteilung 234.
It operated the entire war in Karlsruhe.
