The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the 19 (Ersatz) Kompanie Luftgau Nachrichten Regiment 1. This regiment was formed in April 1938 as Luftgau Nachrichten Abteilung 1 with just 1 companie. In July 1938 it was renamed into a regiment and enlarged with 10 companies.
In April 941 the regiment was again enlarged and the 17-19.Ersatz Kompanien where added, but they where disbanned again in Oktober 1942.
