The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 17.Fernsprech Ersatz Kompanie Luftgau Nachrichten Regiment 8. This regiment was formed in formed in April 1938 with just 1 company. In the summer of that year it was enlarged. The III.Abteilung was an Ersatz Abteilung and later in the war trained Luftwaffen-Helferinnen.
Interesting is that there is still some of the remains of the metal neckcord present.
