The overall condition of the document is good. It shows signs of wear. The Verwundetenabzeichen was awarded on 10th Februari 1945 to Herbert who served in 14.Kompanie Grenadier Regiment 1092. Formed in July 1944 for the 547.Volks-Grenadier-Division. It saw combat in Litauen and Ostpreussen. In Februari 1945 it fell under the 170.Infanterie-Division and fought in the same area. On the back there is a note that says 'Verwundetenabzeichen nicht erhalten' which means Herbert didn't recieve the badge due to the fact it was out of stock.
