Nice Flieger Regiment 51 erkennungsmarke in used, but good condition.
Very nice Luftwaffe dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served in 11.Kompanie Flieger Regiment 51. This regiment was formed in April 1939 in Weimar as Flieger Ersatz Abteilung 51. In Januari 1941 the regiment moved to Heiligenberg and in April 1941 it moved to Antwerp. Renamed in August 1942 to Flieger Regiment 51. Again renamed in June 1944 in Luftgau-Feld-Regiment Belgien-Nordfrankreich (mot. ) 51.
Untill September the regiment was stationed in Holland where it had the task to protect the airfields of Woensdrecht and Gilze-Rijen. The regiment was disbanned in September and absorbed in the 3.Fallschirmjäger-Division. This division and her units participated in the Ardennes offensive and in 1945 in the Remagen battles.
Interesting dog tag.
