Very nice Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse award document in good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It has no damages. The KVKII was awarded to Unteroffizier Richard Kleditzsch who served in the 11.Kompanie Grenadier Regiment 734 which was part of the 704.Infanterie-Division when he got the award on the 30th of January 1943. This regiment was formed in April 1941 as Infanterie Regiment 734 and, like all other infanterie units, renamed into a Grenadier Regiment in October 1942. As part of this division the regiment saw action in Yugoslavia and Serbia.
In april 1943 the division became the 104.Jäger-Division and the regiment was used to for Jäger Regiment 734 as it was stationed in the west in Greece. The rest of the war it saw action in Greece, Serbia and Croatia.
The document is signed by Generalleutnant und Divisionkommandeur Hans Juppe. Hans earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Silber in April 1945.
