The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '1.Batterie Leichte Flak Abteilung 826'. This abteilung was formed in January 1942 in Essen with 4 batteries. From 1943 it was increased to a total of 8 batteries. Until October 1944 it stayed in Essen and after that moved to Dusseldorf where it stayed till the end of the war.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
