Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 1.Kompanie Pionier Ersatz Bataillon 9.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The bataillon was formed in Augustus 1939 in Aschaffenburg. It fell under Division 159. It trained and delivered soldiers for 16 different Pionier Bataillons.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the bloodtype of the soldier.
