Very nice and decorative Wehrmacht rank promotion document in used, but good condition.
The document shows overall signs of wear. The document says that Unteroffizier Willy Ulm, who served in the 1.Kompanie Pionier Bataillon 20, was promoted to Feldwebel as of 1.10.1936. Pionier Bataillon 20 was formed in Oktober 1934! as Pionier Bataillon Sperenberg. It was part of the 20.Infanterie-Division. It saw its first combat during the invasion of Poland. After that it participated in the Westfeldzug by invading Belgium and then France. In 1941 it participated in the Russland campaign and fought in areas like Bialystok, Wolchow and Welish.
