Very nice Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse award document awarded to Obergefreiten Hans Zenner.
The document shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. The Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse was awarded on the 23 September 1944 to Hans who served in the 1.Kompanie Grenadier Regiment 390. This regiment was formed in August 1939 as Infanterie Regiment 390. It was part of the 215.Infanterie-Division. The regiment saw its first combat during the invasion of France in July 1940. In December 1941 it participated in the fights in Russia. It fought in areas like Wolchow, Leningrad,Pleskau and later in Kurland. In October 1942 the regiment was renamed into Grenadier Regiment 390.
