Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 1.Batterie Reserve Flakscheinwerfer Abteilung 708.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. The abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Breslau with 3 batteries. It was stationed in Koblenz. At the end of 1942 a 4 batterie was made. And in March 1943 the Abteilung became Flakscheinwerfer-Batterie z.b.V. 2510 - 2512. A new Flakscheinwerfer Abteilung 708 was formed with 6 batteries. It was stationed in Nürnberg. In Oktober 1944 the abteilung was stationed in Schweinfurt.
