Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 1.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 223 erkennungsmarke.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '1.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 223'. This abteilung was formed in the summer of 1939 in Berlin with 5 batteries (1-3 Schwere/4-5 Leichte). In 1940 it moved to Aalberg,Denmark. In April 1943 the abteilung moved to Bremen. From then on it was part of Flakuntergruppe Laaerberg. It stayed the rest of the war in Wien.
The 'A' on both sides of the tag stands for the bloodtype of the soldier.
