The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '1.Batterie Leichte Flak Abteilung 772'. This unit started as Leichte Reserve Flak Abteilung 772 in July 1940 3 batteries. In July 1941 the unit was put in to action in Poland and in September in Russia.
In June 1942 it was put in to action in Ukrain. Here it stayed untill April 1943 before it move to Muhlheim, Germany. In November 1943 it moved to Braunschweig where it stayed the rest of the war. It was part of the 15.Flak-Bridage and later the 8.Flak-Brigade.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the bloodtype of the soldier.
