Very nice 1.batterie leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 13 dog tag in used, but very good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 1.batteire leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 13. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Magdeburg and from January 1940 the abteilung was stationed at the Adolf Hitler Kaserne in Magdeburg. From it's start the abteilung was a motorized unit.
The ersatz abteilung trained and supplied men for 3 different Stellungs-Artillerie-Abteilungen, 5 different Artillerie Regiments and 2 different Panzer Artillerie Regiments.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag s tands for the soldier's bloodtype.
