The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '1.Batterie Flak Abteilung 33'. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Halle with 4 batteries. In 1941 it moved to Weimar. Here it stayed the entire war. From late 1943 to April 1944 parts of the abteilung where used operationally under the command of Flak-Regiment 140.
