The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '1.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 19'. This abteilung was formed in the summer of 1939 in Kitzingen with 4 batteries and a Kraftfahr Ersatz Batterie. In Februari 1941 it moved to Gotha where it stayed the entire war. The abteilung was converted in to Schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 19 in late 1941, early 1942.
The 'B' on the back of the tag stands for the bloodtype.
