The overall condition of the dogtag is good. The number 64437 tell us the soldier served in the 1.Kompanie Fallschirmjäger Artillerie Regiment 1. This regiment was formed from Geschütz-Batterie 7 (1938) and became Fallschirmjäger Artillerie Abteilung in the summer of 1940. In the winter of 1941/1942 it was enlarged and named Fallschirmjäger Artillerie Regiment 1. It saw combat on the eastern front under the 7.Flieger-Division till May 1943. From then on it became part of the 1.Fallschirmjäger-Division and moved to France to strenghten. From France it moved, per plane, to Italy, to Sizilien and fought against the Americans. After that in areas like Brindisi, Adria-Küste, Monte Cassino, Rimini and Imola.
