Very nice zinc Wehrmacht Infanterie related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged who a soldier (NCO) that served in the Stabskompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon (motorisiert) 30. This bataillon was formed in late 1939 in Görlitz. It trained and supplied soldiers for Infanterie Regiment 30 which was part of the 18.Infanterie-Division.
In October 1941 the bataillon became a motorized unit, hence the '(mot)' on the tag.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
