Very nice zinc Wehrmacht Infanterie related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 1.Schützen-Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 102. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Chemnitz. It trained and supplied soldiers for Infanterie Regiment 102 (later Grenadier Regiment 102), Infanterie Regiment 433 and Jäger Bataillon 4.
Besides this it also trained soldiers for a lot of different Ortskommandanturen which were the local headquarters of the Wehrmacht in foreign cities.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
