Very nice aluminium Reserve Flak Abteilung 902 dog tag in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the '1.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 902'. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Berlin with 5 batteries. 1-3 Schwere and 4-5 Leichte. They were stationed and operated in Germany the entire war. In the summer of 1942 the unit was changed to Schwere Eisenbahngeschutz Flak Abteilung 902 and in 1944 batterie 1 and 3 were stationed in Friedrichshafen.
Flak-Eisenbahngeschutz were railroad cars with light and heavy AA guns on it.
