Nice aluminium Wehrmacht Grenadier related dog tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 1.Kompanie Reserve Grenadier Bataillon 58. The unit was formed from Grenadier Ausbildungs Bataillon 58 in October 1943 when it was stationed in Denmark which was part of the 166.Reserve-Divison.
In December 1944 the Reserve Grenadier Bataillon 58 was stationed in the Flugplatz Rom area in Denmark and in February 1945 it was used to form the III.Bataillon Grenadier Regiment 660 which was part of the 166.Infanterie-Division.
Reserve Grenadier related tag are a bit more uncommon then normal ones.
The 'A-B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
