Very nice zinc Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 320 dog tag in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 1.Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 320. It was formed in August 1939 in Ingolstadt. It was based on the Kavallerie Hepp Kaserne. It trained and supplied soldiers for Infanterie Regiment 320 which was part of the 212.Infanterie-Division. This division was put into action on the Eastern front and fought in areas like Leningrad, Wolchow, Pleskau and later in Latvia.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype. The tag comes with its original neckcord.
